The Spring Gardens
Growing the Community Since 1995.
The Spring Gardens is an urban community garden in Spring Garden, Philadelphia built by neighbors in 1995 and helps families grow food and flowers for themselves and for donation through City Harvest.
The garden serves as an outdoor classroom hosting cooking workshops, gardening classes, school education tours, farm bike tours, and provides hands-on learning for student interns, visitors and volunteer groups. You can find out more about the garden's history in our About page
